A banyan, also spelled "banian", whose branches root themselves like new trees over a large area. The roots then give rise to more trunks and branches. Because of this characteristic and its longevity, this tree is considered immortal and is an integral part of the myths and legends of India. The national tree of India is the banyan tree. Its botanical name is Ficus bengalensis and belongs to the fig family. A banyan tree is a tree that grows massively with falls. The banyan tree is rich in medicinal properties from root to tip of the tree. It is drought-resistant and growing. Leaves, fruits, bark, milk are all parts of the banyan tree that are used for medicine. Banyan leaves are used for treating many diseases like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea due to their Kashaya (astringent) and Sita (cold) nature. The bark is considered a tonic and astringent. It is also used in diarrhea, dysentery and can cure diabetes. The droplets can cure gum diseases and The logs of banyan trees are used to make paper.
